Pros

I started working here after college and found it to be a very invigorating scientific environment and good introduction to working life.

Cons

The position I was in is really only meant for a year or two, they are expecting that you will go to grad school and not continue working here.

Pros

what pros? what's the point if resources aren't used appropriately.

Cons

by far the worst lab experience of my life- no mentorship, no support, idiot postdocs, and they booted me without explanation. no feedback, no guidance. worst experience of my life. I want my time back.

Pros

Collaborative environment, don't have to rely on grant writing to do great work, amazing core facilities, fantastic medical and retirement benefits.

Cons

Traveling to a scientific meeting is difficult as you must sign up with admin 9 months before, can only be approved to go if you are presenting work, and approval comes on average a week before the conference making hotel/travel very problematic.
