Pros

Personal flexibility is a priority at Nike...

Cons

Lower-Level employees do not get the opportunities to move upward like middle or high-level employees; admin assistants are an example, they are basically stuck in that position forever and never promoted - and they are usually super talented....that's just one example.

Pros

Leadership is very transparent and did a great job keeping employees engaged and supported during the pandemic. Prior to the pandemic had great events with pro athletes attending. Reorg is now complete in US so pretty stable. Nike HR did a company-wide compensation audit and was transparent about it. Many people got a significant raise from that.

Cons

There's no way to get promoted at Nike in your current team, you have to move around to get promoted and you're still competing with external candidates. I work in tech, and the user-centered design culture is not in place within the employee experience digital space, nor do the employee experience product owners want to know if their digital products are succeeding and thus have no KPIs around UX and no measurements in place to track that. Consumer-facing teams may be different.

Pros

Generally enjoyed my coworkers. Campus is awesome. Great work life balance. Decent pay if you’re new.

Cons

Very Bad leaders. Constant corporate restructures and layoffs. Poor HR reps and lots of Red tape. Really hard to terminate bad talent - they just get transferred to other departments leading to retaining bad talent and pushing out good talent. Over zealous with DEI (striving for equality by searching for token candidates based purely on protected status - as a brown man this drives me nuts)
