Pros

lots of funding EV is in a good trend at China market and maybe Europe market flexible working schedule food is good, gyn onsite, good location workload very low actually (a bad thing for engineers?)

Cons

most managers do NOT care about product perfection, quality, completeness at all no much real in-house technology barely heard about customers importance lots of pre-retirement people compared to other startups many incapable managers, knowing very little PMs talking like experts :))

Pros

EP9 is awesome! Free lunch, snacks Communications group is excellent Benefits; medical, commuter Better pay than that ‘boring’ EV company in Palo Alto / Fremont

Cons

Padma excels as a self-absorbed, talking head intent to disrupt the auto industry (e.g, the fullstack, car 3.0...), but fails miserably as a development leader. She has no clue what it takes to bring a car to market. Compounding this deficiency, she condescendingly refers to the auto industry as ‘easy’ work. What an inspiration! No accountability, no timelines. It’s one last cash grab for a lot of active retirees. There’s a lot of chaos (so it feels like a startup...), but no sense of urgency on deliverables. Maybe when daddy cuts off their allowance things will change? Development costs to innovate are not recognized by Finance group. There is no free lunch, and suppliers are not going to give themselves away to be First of Next (which is another display of the company’s hubris).
