Pros

Health insurance rates and co-pays are great. Pension benefits (not sure if offered to new employees).

Cons

No raises for non-union workers for the last 8 years. No upward mobility, in fact the system for advancement is discouraging. There are percentage caps placed on current employees when promoted. In other words, a new hire could make tens of thousands more than a current employee applying for the same job simply because the current employee cannot negotiate salary. Very political environment.
