Good Health Benefits, Terrible Leadership

Pros

Good health benefits, nice people overall

Cons

Bully Boss Controller (only from behind the curtain) who was only placed in position due to politics. Terrible leadership skills, looks angry all the time, and after 3 years + in position has yet to meet with the department. No people skills at all. In a power trip, targets and discriminates against only certain Finance teams and treats them like children while other teams work at discretion of immediate managers. Doesn’t promote from within, only hires outside NJT. Micromanages staff, takes away discretion that managers (who have been with NJT for decades) had prior to her placement. HR does nothing. All of NJT departments are treated differently across the board. Instead of policy coming from the top, controller has discretion to treat only specific teams unfairly without recourse so some departments have better perks than others. CEO agreed to provide an anonymous suggestion box to address company concerns and issues (such as this I suppose) but have yet to see it happen. Moving on from this place is definitely an option that is becoming more likely. Working as a professional for decades, I don’t appreciate the nit picking by an incompetent toxic unfair leader and the lack of upward mobility where jobs are only given based on favoritism despite lack of skills.
