Pros

The salary & 401k are the only pleasant things about this organization.

Cons

The workload is ridiculous. The amount of things required of a claims rep are ridiculous. NJM is a high stress environment full of employees who vocalize their disdain with the company everyday. NJM does not care about the mental health of their employees instead management constantly throws hard working reps under the bus. If you want to be abused every day with no opportunity to mobilize , please work for NJM.

Pros

The pay, good benefits, friendly coworkers

Cons

One of my major cons is the micromanaging. You can do everything in your power to do your job right but management will still find a way to point out the flaws. The constant "checking" to make sure you're not taking too long with a customer or documenting a call. Minor cons are requesting time off (no one wants to be there so a lot of the days are taken) and the hours there is just a 30/45 min lunch and 10 min break. A lot of the procedures are outdated like only being able to mail ID cards to insureds. Also, a lot of the information needed is unnecessarily intrusive. There was no proper training it was a month of learning the basics and we were thrown to the wolves on the busiest day (Monday) The rest weed supposedly learn on the go or through the manual. The NICE call evaluators are very picky. Very corporate and stuffy atmosphere a lot of employees look miserable and don't really speak to each other. Also the customers can be very rude because they don't really understand NJM procedure and some outdated practices NJM can be confusing and frustrating for insureds and reps.
