Pros

Close to home and now work home 2 days a week wish it was 5 like Cigna. Good benefits

Cons

Salary scale is lowest in the insurance industry The annual reviews are a joke and do not reflect you work year round. Supervisors and managers do less the reg emoloyes and concerned about petty things. You are constantly being watched And supv puts tremendous productivity processure on you which is not needed its a power trip. The company is great. Its the people in supervision who ruin the company and good people end up leaving. And if you tell anyone you are done! You are tblacklisted and will not go anywhere the supv will see to it.

Pros

I've worked at NJM a long time and have seen many changes along the way. Once very good benefits, however, there seems to be a steady decline from year to year. Some positives include paid onsite training, clean facility and great support from the wellness centers.

Cons

Always has been and continues to be a "Good Old Boys Club". Button down conservative atmosphere. Employees are constantly micromanaged and perfection is the expectation. Supervisors and middle management have the worst job because they have no say (even though upper management pretends they do). They are forced to place positive twists on upper management's consistently off perspective. Favoritism and back stabbing are prevalent and individuals are forbidden to have an opinion. God forbid you have an HR issue, have seen many times, individuals who go to HR end up either being forced out or fired. HR does not support employees, they supports upper management which makes them an absolute joke. Of course, the Boy's Club lies and sticks up for each other. VP and AVP levels hold themselves to a completely different standard and go on overnight fishing, hunting, golfing, beach excursions and vacations on other's dime. They solicited events such as World Series and playoff tickets from vendor and defense firms and leave lower level management having to deal with issues, as if the staff does not know where they are. Not sure how this conduct reflects "Stewardship and Integrity". I've thought about bring this to HR but of course, fear loosing my job over stating facts or retaliation. Executive leadership and upper management are squeezing everything possible out of the employees. Once loved working at NJM now a dread coming to work everyday and just hoping for an earlier then expected retirement!

Pros

crackers for the homeless? "Let them eat crackers" she said.

Cons

bringing in outsiders for top level management jobs has been a disaster. Extravagant parties and sleepovers in Atlantic city for the upper crust, while micromanaging the rest...hilarious.
