Pros

Provides training, starting salaries are adequate, benefits.

Cons

Speaking as a twenty something that spent time as a full time employee, I will say that NJM is not a place for young people. Frustration runs rampant among employees in many departments based on what I heard and experienced. The issue is that it's simply not a modern, forward thinking organization despite attempts to change. That's not to say NJM can't change, however, unless the mentality of those in charge changes from "let me control everything the employees do including monitoring their activities down to the minute, forcing them to work in the office, controlling exactly how the work is performed, etc." they will not be able to keep good people from flocking to other employers. This company says one thing and does another when it comes to treatment of its employees.

Pros

Friendly co-workers. Great work life balance. Benefits. Good location.

Cons

I don't see why young talented professionals would want to stay at NJM. Yes they have a nice pension plan (done away with) & benefits. As a result they offer low, very low, salaries. You work hard every year for a measly 3% raise. The structure they currently have in place does not retain the best of the best. Top performers and ambitious individuals soon realize this and get out while they can. You wonder how half the people above you have even reached manager or supervisor levels.

Pros

401m with 8% matching, health insurance, on-site cafeteria, on-site nurses, company paid training

Cons

Administrative services department was partially located in a leased property a mile from the main campus. Employees there were neglected yet told they were a part of the team.
