Almost never worked more than 40 hours.

Cons

I was owed a retention bonus that they had initially promised employees.... received Dead Silence on when I can expect payment, so I decided to reach out. They then told me that they were not going to pay the bonus AFTER I had to go out of my way to ask, which makes me believe they were just going to brush under the rug and act like they never made this promise.

Pros

Rarely work more than 40 hrs, not a high-stress environment. Overall everyone is very friendly. Most supervisor-level and above employees have been with the firm for 8+ years, not much of a revolving door.

Cons

You'll be auditing pension & health benefits, not financial statements. Could hurt your career path unless you plan to specialize in this type of industry. Time is billed in 6-minute increments. Pay is a little on the low-end, not going to get rich working here but you'll be comfortable.

Work schedule is nice. You get every friday off.

Cons

Training is horrible. That was my biggest issue. Some of the people I met here are nice. Some managers are not friendly. Pay is decent. The firm does not practice GAAP. They complete compliance audits which is extremely different than Accounting. I would not recommend this job as an entry job if you are looking for Accounting experience.
