      Pros

      so much room to develop into the role you want, and NOV does so much in the oil industry you would need 100years to work in all the product lines. NOV is driven to be the best and achive and they have been good to me over the years. i have had some wonderful experiances and projects within the company and wouldnt change a thing

      Cons

      It is a very big company.... sometimes it can be difficult to get to talk to the right person when you need help. somtimes the BIG company isnt the best place to be creatvie and develop ideas quickly.

      Disappointing but potential in other divisions

      Pros

      If you can get into a division that encourages growth, tuition reimbursement, continuous training - your okay...there are some divisions that do not participate nor encourage their employees to take advantage of NOV's offerings...

      Cons

      Due to NOV constantly buying other businesses - the businesses tend to not "adapt" to the structure of the organization as a whole - every division is different - and with that - some divisions encourage growth while others are still antiquated (i.e. stay in the position for 30+ years)
