Pros

The company offers decent benefits to their employees. They offer fairly competitive pay versus other places in the industry.

Cons

The contract that FSTs sign when hiring on is extremely shady, not worth the paper it's written on, and they don't allow you to take it home/have a lawyer review it or even to get a copy once you have signed it. They have stopped caring about their employees since oil took a hit and started a witch hunt to reduce their overhead by any means necessary. Anything expressly not given to you in writing is as good as gone when convenient for the company balance sheet. Many of the local workers have been fired or laid off in favor of H1-B visa holders who they can pay much less per hour. The management team is a revolving door of friendships and hardly anyone who in the position to do the job they are assigned.

Pros

Fairly easy to get hired/rehired. They do not fire employees over small mistakes or to cut down on their budget. In fact, they were the last company to carry out the mass layoff when the oil industry was declining. Plenty of overtime. Lower levels of management and regular employees usually have good interactions with everyone getting along and caring for each other. Benefits used to be very good but their health insurance plans started becoming too expensive (thanks to Obamacare initiative).

Cons

Stressful work environment. Lower pay rates compared to similar companies in the industry. The higher up levels of management only focus on numbers, not the overall wellbeing of their employees. When there is a high demand, employees may be "required" to work crazy long shifts all week for several weeks to months. It's just bad management in general. Also, they would lie to your face even when they know you already knew the truth.

Pros

Good management, work life balance is reasonable, but it depends on your manager.

Cons

As with all oil industry jobs the company goes through downturns more frequently than some other industries.
