Pros

Benefits are good. Nothing else to say here.

Cons

Atrocious work environment. Uneducated management promoted through the 'friends and family' program. Safety equipment is a secondary consideration (dusk masks in a dusty environment? Meh, we'll get more next week). Management can not be trusted continuously bends the truth or lies outright. Time clock is adjusted by management according to their personal feelings. Work/life balance isn't even considered, if they want something, they take it; last minute scedule changes? You bet, happens every week when they feel like it. Pay is one of the lowest in the market and raises are lied about so as to avoid giving them in accordance with company policy, all to protect the bonus checks of upper management. Worst company i've ever born witness too.

Pros

Great learning environment, stable employment even during this oil downturn, resisting to the last draw before having to make a downsizing decision.

Cons

Pay is not the best, until you get into the upper echelons of the management staff (department manager+). Hours are either flat 40 with NO overtime allowed during slow periods and shoot directly to 72+ hours weekly when work picks back up. This statement comes from 15+ years of seeing it happen, no matter who is managing the company.

Pros

The Over Time was nice, and at 80+ hrs a week with a 2 on 1 off schedule you could make good money.

Cons

The over time disallowed for any life outside of the job because by the time you got back from the rigs you needed to rest for two days and had to leave a day early to be ready to go when your tower started. This made it so that you basically got four days off a month.
