If you get a good manager, they are fair with work hours.

Cons

Constant unknown and lack of direction from management and business directive. Never knew if you were going to be laid off on any given morning when you log on.

Nice coworkers, on site cafeteria

Cons

Extreme inequality. People who have worked many years longer are making less money than brand new employees. People need to talk about their salaries with coworkers so this becomes known. HR is completely useless in dealing with ANY issue including pay discrepancies.

Mission to improve public health and safety, benefit package, supportive colleagues, fair compensation, NSF kitchen, nicely maintained facility and garden.

Cons

Senior management and CEO are not trustworthy, make decision without fully understanding the consequences to their decisions, and habit of laying off people with experience and seniority. No work life balance - expected to work overtime and disrespectful of approved time-off.
