Pros
There is no lack of work. If you are a well seasoned carpenter you can spend your time correcting all the mistakes being made by the less seasoned ones.
Cons
No accountability with respect to the trades responsibility, project supervisors/managers typically have no construction background or education so they don't realize the errors being made. Their only concern is to be done, not necessarily done right. They live and die by the survey. All of their bonus money is tied to the survey so be sure you are satisfied with the house before you submit yours and if your not, let that be reflected in your survey.
