Pros

1)Salary 2)Increment 3)Top management specially Manas 4)Good company for unmarried professional.

Cons

This is one of the worst company in my career which spans around 10 years. In nagarro challenges means spending 13-14 hours in office, coming in weekends and do whatever to full-fill unrealistic deadlines . Here agility means doing 200 days work in 100 days. Most of the firms spend two-three months in designing framework to cater complex project but here framework is given least importance. Home grown managers does not have experience in managing big and complex project. No respect for senior professionals. They are being humiliated . Some 3-4 years experience guys will monitor their work . Managements always look for quick fix rather then permanent solution. There is one director who loves to see the project in distress,it gives him opportunity to showcase his talent in dousing the fire and become hero. But he is the one who is responsible for all mess up but no one cares since nagarro have fire-fighters. Forget about mentors-hip they will make you feel that you are good for nothing. A big question mark how this company got CMM level 5....... Dream company for Fire-Fighters.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. It is unfortunate that you had to leave us with such an impression of us. I agree that we have some of the best people in the senior management team. There are many other pros of course. However, let me respond to some of the areas that you feel we can do better in. While we do have a culture where we like to work hard, on average we do not have such working hours that you describe in your review. Yes, there may be projects which run into timeline challenges, but this is not the norm. On average (when I look at the data for time spent in office), people are not spending more than 40-50 hours in office. I do believe that in our industry (which is fast paced and ever-changing), we shouldn't measure the health of our employment in 2-3 month intervals. There will always be challenges and tough projects. I believe that we should measure this health over 1-2 year periods. Your experience with us was poor, and I am sorry for that. But once again, that is not the norm. I wish you had given us more time. The percentage of our "homegrown" managers is really low. Over 50% of the people in Nagarro are less than 5 years old in the company. We recognize that if we are to grow and do bigger things, we need help from people who have done this - and hence we recruit heavily at senior levels from outside. We are on our way to be something special and big. And yes, for this we have to restructure our processes and reinvent ourselves (as you suggest) - and we are doing that. We do want to make life easier for all. Once again, thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback. It does help us.

Pros

1. Decent salary for QA/Tester if you join after some years of experience and not as a fresher 2. Decent increments(more than industry standards) Cant recall any other pros so lets get to the cons right away...........

Cons

1.This is a decent company for developers but not at all for testers. Huge disparity in salary between testers and developers. No vision for QA/testing. For ex:- Freshers in testing get a package of 1.8 whereas developers get 3.5 or 4 and depending on college even 5.All other good IT companies(ex:- TCS,Accenture) pay the same initial package to freshers regardless of whether the domain is in testing or in development.. No growth for QA people. 2. Disparity in increments. Tester gets lower increments then developers even if both have the same rating. 3. Not much automation testing here and no vision for testing/QA. You would be lucky to get an automation project. Its mostly manual testing so in case you are an automation or white box tester joining Nagarro would be career suicide as your automation skills would atrophy. 4. No or very little onsite opportunities 5. Very negative work environment. I joined Nagarro 3-4 months back and with whatever interaction I have had with people who joined around the same time as me no one is planning to spend more than 6 months to a year due to the bad work environment here. Once you join and get the feel of things here, you would want to leave this company within 5-6 months. 6. Very difficult to change project. Project change requests are not accepted. 7. Very less in hand salary due to leave encashment and retention bonus policy. For ex :- On a package of 5 you get the same in hand as you would get at a package of 4 in any other company. 8. HR is useless and never responds to issues raised in internal portal.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review here on Glassdoor. And I apologize for taking such a long time respond to it. I was working on investigating some of the points that you have raised in this review. Let me try to answer the points that you raise - some are things that we can start improving right away, others will take longer. Regarding the salaries received by fresh recruits out of college who join in the Quality Assurance track, we do not have the lowest offers in the industry; nor do we have the highest. But of the companies that we studied, we have the highest annual raise for this track. The industry trends also drive the disparity between QA and dev salaries - which is also driven by what in general clients pay for these two different services. Having said that, with more automation and advanced QA services, this gap is bound to reduce over time. Nagarro does have a vision for testing - in the last two quarters, we have creating 3 different acceleration programs specifically for people in the Quality Assurance tracks. One Vice President and one Director are responsible for ensuring that our Quality Assurance services continue to evolve and become one of our strongest offerings. Having said that, it is an incomplete picture that you have when you say that we don't have testing projects. We have dedicated "testing-only" teams for a number of our larger customers - these teams are pushing the boundaries for automation testing as well - focusing on areas such as mobile testing, data quality testing, and performance testing for complex cloud deployment scenarios. With regards to CTC structure, as you know now, we have made changes to it. We no longer have a retention bonus component, and nor is leave encashment part of the CTC. In general, our work environment is not that taxing - on average, we spend less than 45 hours a week in office. Having said that, it is the nature of the industry that we work in where there will sometimes be peaks in our work. From an interaction within teams perspective, we do focus a lot on respect for each other. We focus on a flat organization, and yes, there shouldn't be a sir-ma'am culture. There isn't - we don't want it. But, I concede, we do need to do a more proactive job of rooting it out. Most people are allocated to projects where the skills that they are good at can be employed. If we didn't do that, it would be very counter-productive for us. However, there will be times when someone is deployed in a project where they either need to only use a subset of their skills or sometimes have to develop new skills. We do need to do a better job of communicating and explaining the context of project assignments to people so that they can understand better why they are assigned to a certain project - this is something that we are working on. Overall, I believe that the situation is not as bad as you think it is. However, there are areas that we can improve and we are improving. At the end of the day, because you feel this way, it is a failure on our part nevertheless. And this means that we have to work harder so that such experiences are not taking place within Nagarro - and we will. Let me thank you again to take the time to write a review here.
