Pros

- Training program for freshers is good. - Less time on bench as compared to other Indian IT giants like TCS, Infosys etc. - Good infrastructure + cabs - Flexible timings - Projects available in Java, .Net - Decent appraisals (depends on ratings) - Fast growing company

Cons

- Food in cafeteria not very good. - HR team and policies need some improvement. - Too many buildings in Gurgaon. Travelling from one to another is a herculean task although ferry is available. - Code review should be more often and more thorough.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review here on Glassdoor. It is always disheartening to see when someone rates us relatively well and provides more detailed feedback and to see that they are a former employee. If the food is the reason you left, then what a loss for us :) But more seriously, let me write about what we are doing for some of the improvement areas that you mentioned in your review. Food is something that we are currently working strongly on. We are evaluating vendors which provide services to very large companies (such as Google) - we should hopefully be able to provide a much better experience in our cafeterias. Regarding the number of buildings, yes, we now have 8 of them. However, we try to seat folks so that they don't really have to travel between buildings too much. Also, now there are cycling stations in the buildings which allow employees to take cycle between the buildings if they don't want to wait for a ferry. Now, I can't comment on the HR processes till I know which specific areas you felt were lacking behind. We are currently adjusting our processes to make them as efficient as we can (including rolling out an enterprise HRMS system). I would love to talk to you to understand more the reasons for why you left. So, if you ever get a chance, do get in touch with HR and they will connect you with me. Heaven for a fresher

Pros

1. A huge infrastructure with every single bit which may needed in an MNC. 2. A company which has a number of clients associated with it for years (some for even a decade or more). 3. Use of latest technology and always looking forward to new ideas and technology. 4. Best increments/ appraisals provided to the employee. 5. A lot of extra curricular activities which are organized at the Company level (like Hackathon, TT championship, Blood donation camps, celebration of every major day, and a lot more). 6. A lot of other benefits which an employee may never get in other companies.

Cons

It might be possible that you may not be allocated any project for a time period say 2-3 weeks or so (happens rarely).

Thank you for your review. I am happy that you are finding Nagarro suitable for your career. While we are still small (when compared to other large IT services companies in India), we try to put the best infrastructure, facilities, and employee policies in place that our size allows - which is usually far better than any company our size. Regarding your point about bench - yes, it is always possible to not have any project for 2-3 weeks - but that doesn't affect anyone on bench negatively. Usually, this happens because people coming off a project are being kept reserved for an upcoming project. But our overall strength of people sitting on bench is very low. Some Nontransparent processes

Pros

people are good here technically and logically. higher management seems to have a vision for company.Processes are improving here, but need aggression in improvement.

Cons

As the company is growing, practiced policies has not been revised that rapidly. some people(not all)people who joined company earlier has been promoted to very senior level (account managers) and they run their account as per their processes irrespective of what organization policies are. * Less transparency: You slog out at nights so that next year your Visa will be applied and they will mislead you. In case of filing H1 visa , HR will collect documents form you and would not provide you filing token, in this case you never know if they did file your visa OR not. If you ask for lottery result they will tell you that you have not been selected in lottery and will never provide you filing token number citing policies around it. What is the harm in providing token numbers to candidates who has not been selected in lottery. At least employees will be sure that it was applied and would stay in organization * Your feedback , salary increment and promotion somewhat depends on your relationship with your manager. Nagarro is standardizing it through regular A2FS/Promotion interviews and assignments, but it can be improved more.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us feedback here on Glassdoor. I am sorry to see that after spending a long time with us, you are no longer at Nagarro. You are right that we are growing fast and in the process some of our procedures are having to catch up, But this is something we are aware of and are working rapidly to improve. Also, we are working specifically towards ensuring that transparent feedback and appraisals are the norm. As a next step, we are deploying an industry standard HRMS tool to help us in tooling these processes. For your specific example regarding the H1 visa process, I did go back and review what we do currently. I found out that there is no deception in the process. At the same time, I also found out that there is unclear communication about status throughout this process. I have taken it as an action item to have a more transparent system around our visa filing process. Finally, we are taking the advice that you also provide (since many others have done so too) - there is ever more interaction between senior management and everyone else. There are town hall meetings, direct communication, skip level meetings, and other exercises which are contributing towards a direct measurement of what happens in Nagarro.
