Pros

Flexibility of time is provided .

Cons

19 people have been fired. Many people are under NTC (Not to consider) which are going to be fired. They are hiring lots of people just to list company in share market, numbers of people sitting on bench are more than people having projects. No new projects coming. Old projects are being ramped down.

Pros

1) Good Infrastructure ( in Plot 13 building ) 2) Good staff with whom you can enjoy your work ( which is important for me to work ) 3) Average level of facilities ( now almost all companies give you pickup & drop and a cafeteria ) 4) There are several tax saving components like car lease, driver salary etc which you can claim on monthly basis and amount is quite good. 5) Excellent technical teams and COE infrastructure to make sure that the project is a success 6) People are ready to share their knowledge which make you learn at every level 7) Hiring is easy and non time consuming process, 1 2 3

Cons

1) if you expect or if you think your role is to take strategic decisions and take forward company to new paths, I would recommend you to reconsider your decision to join Nagarro at management level as these decisions are not taken by employees in their respective role. You don’t even have any decision powers and need to run to your boss for everything. People at director level don’t have authority to sign Rs 50 bills. Even for team lunch you will be asked to submit your personal credit card bills, full bill, which includes your personal expenses, yes you will have to submit them because they don’t trust anyone who is new in company, nagarro do not provide corporate cards for spending amount related to team / travel and ask for personal credit card statements /bills 2) It is an old vs new game which keeps on going ... yes, I was new and had to leave for good of myself ! . It is not a open fight but in background ego’s goes high as how can someone have better skills than who is in company for a long duration. 3) Old, not ready for the change ( the way industry is changing ) and pushing their own ways to survive with an emotional touch that they brought this company to where it is today makes a winning stroke 4) Me and team had multiple challenges with the employee satisfactions HR and general Nagarro than the project part, this is something which I would not like to waste my time on and expect them to be available in a 3000 user company. My work hours should be more towards bringing better projects and profit for the company and not to get involved in why my team needs more number of pens and pencils discussions for hours. I hope Nagarro will take corrective actions for the betterment of themselves and to retain the talent.

Nagarro Response

Dear ex-colleague, thanks for your fair and heartfelt post. You have praised the technical teams, the culture of collaboration, and the infrastructure. (For these points alone someone else might have given Nagarro at least 3 stars!) The main deficiency you have encountered appears to be a lack of freedom even for experienced people if you are new in the company, with too many checks on even small expenses. We are taking note of both these points. I do wish you had actually spoken with me before you left. My door is always open to everyone for precisely this purpose (well, metaphorically speaking, since I don’t even have a door and sit on a long shared desk in a common area). I would also like to point out that the company has grown tremendously in the last few years and most of the people in most positions are new. If any vestiges of entrenched entitlement still remain in the company, I doubt it will be this way for very long. Anyway, all the best in your next role and thanks again for the genuine post.

Pros

1. Decent salary as per market standards 2. Fun Fridays 3. Food is OK in cafeteria 4. Hours required to be marked full day is five 5. Good technical leads and supportive work environment 6. Financially stable company with the backing of its parent German company

Cons

1. They have very fewer projects so they re-skill people against their will, else made to still on the bench to get fired over time so with the fear of getting fired people automatically get re-skilled as per the management happy wish. 2. Their employee portal badly need upgrade but management don't have it on their to-do list 3. Public holidays are very very very less yet again they have a cheat in this in the name of flexi leave. At time you would feel you have not seen public holiday for many months 4. Testing people become managers fast in this company and also are made managers of development team, so development teams suffers as lot at hands of such managers who only gets things done by use of fear of spoiling appraisal rating 5. Once such managers spoil your appraisal rating, and you use to the option disagree, there hardly you could do anything if the manager does not accept your points and come to the discussion with a mindset not to make any changes in the rating and your rating remain open for an infinite time where no one to close it either. 6. Onsite chocolate is frequent, as soon as you come on the bench they will ask for the resume to send you onsite and would discuss onsite salary after that you would be asked to prepare for client interview which never takes place. so why they do so actually if you don't qualify three times, you have now become liable to be fired as per company's CEO note 7. Repeated assignment of undesirable task for months even when you are resisting the same like deployment, documentation 8. Unequal distribution of work some developers are burdened with lot of work while others are intentionally kept free to do undesirable task like deployment thus spoils both ways 9. HR department uses lie as tool to run their daily business, they will never give you anything on written and will always lie over phone 10. Role-based training are just tool to deny you promotions if your managers doesn't recommend the same 11. Work even when at home outside of office hours so you will be given laptops to do so 12. There is a step-motherly behavior with the Jaipur office, all the UI/UX work is sent to Jaipur office so being in Jaipur office if you happens to be in Jaipur, would never get any good full stack technical work. 13. Work on consecutive 2 Saturdays gets 1 comp off else you worked for free if alternative Saturdays 14. Expensive medical policy and it becomes unbearable if you add your parents to the list and once have taken x amount of sum insured you could not decrease it ever again rather just could increase only. 15. Work on multiple projects at same time no work life balance 16. Quarterly ratings but your appraisal will depend on your last quarter ratings the most 17. Costly cab service and managed horribly 18. Financial irregularities in pay calculations which could be seen in monthly salary fluctuations. 19. use of biometrics malfunctions at lot, you will suddenly find you are marked absent on many days if you don't check every day 20. Poor salary structure lot of taxes is deducted from you pay 21. Small issues are escalated over emails which could be handled once pinged/informed as no team work, everyone communicates with each other via email escalation with the whole family in loop so lots of emails which when came you never know 22. Short term projects as lot of work done by small team over short span 21. Onsite are very short term where actual developer seat in offshore and will support the one whom manager choose to send onsite 22. you incremented salary is kept on hold as long as you do not clear your role based training
