Civil engineers in the office fail to demonstrate they understand fundamentals of civil engineering. They are cooking solutions instead of reflecting and using basic tools to solve problems. Sometimes I wonder how they managed to earn a civil engineering degree. The work is poorly completed because engineers here have poor skills and they are not properly trained by the company. They can only complete successfully the most extraordinarily simple tasks while the work is not always that simple. Managers do not communicate properly so I can tell they don't fully understand what the client expects. As a result, our efficiency is severely impacted in a negative manner. There are lots of unnecessary exchanges between clients and managers that could be eliminated if managers are a little smarter. Turnover is very high because once employees realize how business is conducted they find another place to grow. Those who stay here cannot go anywhere else for now.

You could tell some at the company, want to do better by their employees, unfortunately, no action is taken toward that and as a result, corruption reigns supreme. If you're going to work there, don't expect your work to be valued. Like others have written in these reviews, the gossip culture there is valued higher than the work ethic, quality work is viewed as a threat to corrupt deals made under the table, often at the client's expense, and like someone else said, it's a revolving door when it comes to employee retention. The company is a minority owned company, yet you have unprofessional employees making disparaging remarks about Indians, muslims, blacks, and spanish people and making fun of their accents, all behind upper management's back who ironically happen to represent those groups. Meanwhile, upper management is giving those same people promotions. They lost 3 highly qualified engineers, in just under 3 months.
