Pros

Compensation and benefits are pretty competitive.

Cons

This review from late last year was unfortunately removed. It’s a valid critique and something that prospective employees should consider: 1 star - “Not a Healthy place to work because of leadership” – (former employee) “Not a healthy place to work. The leadership are not supportive and are always looking to place blame. They force you to take responsibility for others actions and completely humiliate you in the process. Never have I had such a terrible experience as a nurse manager in my 20 plus years of nursing practice. They do not care about their employees. They only want yes-ma’am professionals . . . They love to employ [people] long term that blindly do what they tell them with no thought of possible consequences. They want warm bodies in their chairs so they aren’t charged penalties for violating their service contracts. It’s not about doing a good job or providing superior healthcare services to an underserved population but the bottom line . . .

Pros

NaphCare is a company that truly cares about caring for the inmate population. They have multiple sites nationwide. They are a rapidly growing company with many opportunities available.

Cons

Not many people come with experience or knowledge in correctional healthcare and not many persons would consider correctional healthcare as a career choice. Forget the stigma and apply! It is worth it.

Pros

TechCare their computer software is neat!

Cons

Long hours no vacations even if you have PTO. Poor support from management. Used employees from the previous company, and after they settled got rid of them with out compassion. The schedule was horrible, people quit left and right especially night shift. No motivation to do your job right.
