I enjoy the opportunity for growth and development over the life of my career with NaphCare. I have learned and grown in my role with each year that passes. I appreciate the excellent work/life balance and PTO allowances.

Pros

Deny all PTO, haven’t been paid for several hours works since I started despite turning in unpaid hours every week, never gets on my paycheck! But the PTO adds up fast when you can’t use it!

Cons

Can’t call in sick without feeling like your job is at risk!

Pros

Some absolutely wonderful coworkers. Very challenging work. Great place to get a job for a couple of weeks of paid orientation while looking for another job.

Cons

This job will test every bit of nursing empathy you have. Management is more interested in creating new policies, changing policies, and expanding their market that they forget about the foot soldiers doing the work. Their pride and joy, Techcare software is a joke. Causes way more problems than it is ever going to solve. No concern for the inmate/patients that they take care of. Pulling psych patients off all their meds until seen by a provider (a 2-4 week wait). New PRN nurses coming through continously, never to be seen again.
