Pros

Natera's products are very interesting to make healthy babies and happy couples. Interesting products and science. Growing company, fast paced.

Cons

Discriminatory and abusive behavior at the hands of a superior. Unfortunately our manager treats it's employees in a manner that far oversteps the bounds of what is proper between a boss and workers. Manager should never be allowed to exceed use the power in a bullying or discriminatory factor. It has created an unhappy and unsafe work environment not just for the department but for the entire work force.

Growing quickly, managed poorly

Pros

Overall the people were fun and I enjoyed working with them. Some groups are great, others are mostly dysfunctional. Its a work hard, play hard atmosphere.

Cons

No one has experience working in biotech. CEO is a bit of a tyrant and some of the managers who have little to no experience in management think that the CEO's way of doing things must be the right way (the CEO has had successful tech startups in the past). Before joining, I strongly suggest asking what the background is of your manager. If this is their first job ever and they have been placed at a high management level, run away.

Pros

Pay and benefits are pretty good

Cons

Management is allowed to bully and discriminate against employees without consequences except “coaching” and are allowed to get away with retaliation when you report bullying and discrimination. Advancement is extremely difficult it’s all about the who you know. Had someone be GIVEN a supervisor position and then they bailed so they hired outside people who had no idea what was going on and refused to listen to people who had been there for years. Experienced agents weren’t given a chance to interview for the position. HR and management will lie to your face or ignore you until you quit
