Plenty of Opportunity in a company that isn't afraid of Change

Pros

The Cleveland location has multiple departments that are focused on becoming an industry force. They are a hard working leadership team that is focused on the theory of continuous improvement. This company isn't afraid of change (and by that I mean positive growth, organically and by acquisition) and take chances that other companies won't. Because of the immense growth, there's opportunities to grow your career quickly. If you give 100% and work hard you WILL get recognized and given opportunities that would take others in the industry 10 years to reach. The reality is, they will recognize talent and reward those individuals if that's what you would like to do. It does take some hard work, but you really have a great opportunity to learn different skills that you wouldn't at any other insurance organization. We are looking for rock stars!

Cons

The only "Con" I would list is that a lot of people say they aren't the same company as it once was. In my opinion, it's good to recognize where you came from, however, in this case, it's a good thing. The rebranding was smart as the leadership team is taking this company to a place it's never been before. It's an exciting place to be!

Pros

National General recently merged with the company I worked for, Tower Insurance, and I am excited about all of the positive changes we have seen thus far and that are upcoming in the near future.

Cons

At this point the only negative I have is the technology we work with but that's not to be blamed on Nat Gen, we brought this issue from Tower and it is Nat Gen's plan to change all of our billing systems to theirs which we are quite excited about.

Pros

Pay I suppose, coworkers make the job bearable, strong glass windows to prevent you from jumping out

Cons

The modern day corporation has been described a soulless, life sucking and in the words of Thomas Hobbes nasty and brutish. NatGen exemplifies in all these respects, whether it systems that don't work (which you are still held accountable for your work regardless if the tools or broken) to the fact you can literally feel that management knows you are disposable. And it makes sense! This is a company and if you don't submit to there absurd productivity metrics they'll can you and find some other yahooo off on the street who they can sweet talk about how great of an expanding company this is. If you need to put food on the table, you literally can't do worst because this company is literally the bottom of the bottom. Seriously, it makes Wal-Mart or Amazon look like Apple of Google in terms of the way they treat employees.
