Pros

I found no pros with this company. Unless you are desperate to find work, don't consider this company. Co-workers are great people.

Cons

Disconnected management (different standards upheld per unit), incredibly large claims pending - unmanageable and unreasonable expectations given the case load. Lots of promises not upheld that would make the work environment more reasonable. No work/family balance at all.

Great benefits and competitive compensation. With the recent move to Madison Park, the culture is changing rapidly. There are still system challenges but we are improving there as well. Every challenge presents an opportunity to add value. We have definitely changed gears and are moving rapidly in a very positive direction. It's a great time to be an employee of National General!

Cons

Negative attitudes are a challenge in any work environment. Management has recognized the issue with workloads and is working to make it better. Be encouraged that they are hearing us and are taking strides to improve. Some of us need to adjust our expectations and realize that it may not happen overnight.

Senior management is truly accessible. You can pick up the phone and reach anyone in the company without having to schedule time to meet--you can walk into the office of any department leader and they will make the time to have a conversation. Entrepreneurial Environment - A large company that moves at the speed of a small organization. If you have an idea you can run with it and quickly add value in your role and the company. Competitive Compensation - Strong overall compensation package including annual target bonus and comprehensive benefits. Every team member is dedicated to the same goals -- grow and improve the company and make it a great place to work.

Cons

New company name means new challenges. Rapid growth has led to some growing pains, but they are being identified and addressed.
