Pros

- new company, a chance for current leadership to leave and new leadership to take over (much needed in claims) - decent computer system compared to where I came from - co-workers are like my family- love going to Indians games, dinner, and hang out with my second family

Cons

- was originally hired in customer service back in early 2012. Horrible department and managed by morons with questionable morals. - I applied to claims thinking it would be better...leadership is worse than customer service! Good ole boys club- if you don't fit in, you are on the outside. - unmanageable workload and unrealistic expectations. - completely dillusional senior leaders in all departments

Pros

Its a job and pays the bills. As with most companies some good people here.

Cons

The new CEO is a clueless dork. Constant layoffs have you always looking out for backstabbers instead of doing your job. Family owned company. Owners is old and ornery and prone to temper tantrums more suited to a spoiled 4 year old. Take any positive reviews of this company with a grain of salt as they are most likely written by Executive team more concerned about how they are viewed than actually doing work.

Pros

There were a lot of dedicated, hard working people in the claims department. However, most have been permanently laid off (for a tax break).

Cons

Company has no real direction. While change is inevitable and expected in business, the company changes it's expectations from it's front line employees literally every couple months. Then when it's review time, it can be nearly impossible to make "the grade" where they want. No raises when GM took the government bail out, then after they sold us to an outside firm, still no raises until about 6 months which came as a "bonus" of 1% if you qualified. And when that came across, we also received a threat from the president regarding "getting on the bus...or else".
