Pros

At NGA you can do nearly any job. The work is and plentiful. Work-life balance is unsurpassable, in my opinion. Maxi-flex schedule is one of the greatest benefits at the agency.

Cons

1) Financial disclosure is a complete invasion of privacy. I am not sure I want to trust the government with my info following the OPM hacks! 2) New leaders need training before taking leadership positions. 3) The locations where NGA is located are EXPENSIVE!

There are many opportunities for employees and now a facilitating tool and system to plan your own career path and development. Many free training opportunities, as well. Flexible work hours. An inspiring mission with the strong culture to support the defense, intelligence, and civilian federal missions. The explosion of uses of Geospatial information makes this as exciting place to work!

Cons

Not a good place for you to work if you do not like change, even if that change helps you do your job better or helps you grow.
