Good pay and benefits but you can get stuck

Pros

Work-life balance is great, very family friendly. Pay is great as well as benefits. Work is easy.

Cons

Not challenging. Takes years for positive change to take place. Extreme redundancy in programs between departments, it is a known thing but nothing is done to reduce waste of tax payer money. Not easy to advance. The pay and work-life balance is so favorable that you can get stuck there at a job you don't enjoy.

Pros

Interesting mission, decent pay, great benefits.

Cons

New leadership does not support unclassified efforts, does not care about work-life balance, has removed almost all options for remote work and is not people-centered whatsoever. A far cry from our former leadership who supported work-life balance, diversity initiatives, etc. We can't focus on the mission when we are too stressed to do our jobs. Pay not worth the benefits under current leadership.
