      Interesting work. Lots of opportunities. Govie benefits.

      Cons

      Politics are terrible. Couldn't get mid-level management to understand impacts of poor decisions or the reasons to make an informed decision. Good ol' boy network. Promotions based on who, not what, you know and reflects in management decision process. Contractor input put before 40 years govie experience.

      Salary and benefits are competitive

      Cons

      Not really police, and have no real authority. Requires an annual physical ability test with constantly changing rules. Policies change weekly. Command staff are mostly Air Force or military and have never performed commissioned police work. Most promote their friends and military colleagues ahead of actual workers.

      Great pay, poor training, lots of useless information.

      Pay and benefits (including time off), flexible work schedule.

      Cons

      No training for required certifications, management has limited real world business experience, horrible morale. "Values" are all talk and no action. Tons of useless emails on a daily basis.
