Pros

-Great benefits, like all government work -Interesting subject matter -Mostly great, down-to-earth people -Work culture encourages you to use your leave -Great pay if you are hired at the right payband, and performance-based yearly raises

Cons

-No telework since the new administration -Very fast pace of work in my department, but it varies -Chaos in general since the new administration. We lost 9% or so of our employees this year through DRP and early retirement, and are doing a massive organization-wide reorganization to try to cover the gaps left behind. We are floundering to shuffle thousands of people within the organization by the end of the fiscal year (a few months away). The best part is we get to do this all again next year and the year after, because we’re supposed to continuously reduce our workforce.
