Pros

Work-life amenities Good pay good location outside the beltway

Cons

NGA leadership is clearly not concerned with employee's careers or career development. Career "Services" should be more appropriately called Mission Services.

Pros

I have worked for three federal agencies and this is the best facility

Cons

The ruling leadership (top 5) has no understanding of people or organizational dynamics. Alternative thoughts and view points are not tolerated by the Top 5. The Director places loyalty to his ideas above the mission or the success of the agency. Cronyism is rewarded through Rank in Person. Mission talent Alignment is designed to ensure employees are controlled vice developed professionally. The employee conversation is no longer about mission, its about promotions, changing jobs, personnel policies. Its a very disturbing dynamic for a combat support and intelligence agency.

Pros

Great mission Very family-friendly As a whole, the workforce is pleasant and competent. Building is aesthetically very nice Free parking

Cons

Workforce can be exceptionally whiny; however management gives them ample reason to whine. Career Services and MTA are ludicrous and are more focused on tightly controlling people and assignments rather than developing the workforce. Real aversion to doing anything about bad managers, and many are running out of places to which they can be moved! Director is destroying what had a been a very positive culture.
