      Work life balance Work to maintain high level of medical benefits without driving cost to high Many happy hour and team building opportunities Work hours flexible On site doctor and gym

      Cons

      Use "NI" culture as excuse for lower pay Expect you available 24 hrs a day Career growth limited if you do not want to go into management No cost of living raises State they have profit sharing but did not receive about 50% of the time.

      Compensation (pay & benefits) is not competitive with SF Bay Area it is all based on Austin TX Market.

      A good foundation to learn how to be in the work force

      Pros

      NI provides a lot of structure to employees. I hadn't necessarily had a ton of experience and the on-boarding process was formalized and easy to learn.

      Cons

      If you're not an engineer it's tough to be respected by them. All executive leadership have technical backgrounds and opportunity for advancement is slow. As much as they say they promote internal promotion, there are very long expected transition times. Raises are very regimented, I was given a promotion and never received a raise due to the timing of the calendar. Big reason that i left.
