Pros

Good company with good intentions. Management tends to have best interest in mind, and is focused on long-term growth. Lots of smart, good people around you and interesting problems to solve. Reasonable expectations for work:life balance

Cons

Compensation sometimes is below the level of talent, and Im a bit skeptical of some of the future drive to the "performance oriented culture." At other companies thats often the sign of a migration into a very cutthroat environment, which NI has been great at avoiding.

Many changes in recent years, people seem skeptical (but everyone is still working hard) Your colleagues become your only friends, can be tough to separate work from play
