Great Place to Learn

Pros

NI is has some of the brightest engineers in the industry and the work/life balance is very manageable. It's a great introduction to corporate work environment. Camaraderie among the employees is hard to come by elsewhere.

Cons

Compensation is below competitive. It seems the company has grown a bit to manage the compensation expectations of the market. There's been talk of improvements in the near future, however I can't see how realistic it is to implement retroactive raises without a huge upward swing in the T&M market.

Interesting work, average pay

Pros

Fair amount of autonomy, interesting and innovative products to sell. Generally good culture of people. Management is genuinely interested in creating a great place to work.

Cons

The progression in sales career doesn't tend to follow the expected pay increase, mostly changes in the pay structure.
