Pros

Very laid back atmosphere, hours are not incredibly demanding and everyone tries to keep a good work/life balance, just about everyone from interns to upper level management are willing to help you out

Cons

technology is outdated, being located in Vermont is a con in terms of attracting strong young talent to the company. You should look to branch out and step up the recruiting efforts for a larger area.

Pros

There are a lot of good people in the company. The benefits are good. The company is doing well and laying the ground word for the future.

Cons

Senior management knows their industry but is clueless in how to manage and organize. Launches big change initiates but focuses on the employees instead of themselves. Very top down command and control from a leadership perspective and while they claim to be trying no changes are happening at the top. Leadership isn't all pointed in the same direction.

Decent company with good benefits

Pros

The headquarters has a gym and cafeteria and overall, the company has good non-cash benefits.

Cons

The majority of employees have been with NLG for a long time (they have a quarter century club because so many employees have 25+ years of service) which is great in terms of loyalty, but makes change management difficult. Career progression is definitely an issue.
