Leadership cares deeply about finding a cure for MS and are working towards accomplishing that goal. The organization also cares deeply about their employees and it shows through their thought leadership and the benefits offered that support their wellbeing.

No cons at this time. Leadership has been working very hard to support our staff.

Pros

The research funding and services for those living with MS is superior!!

Cons

Management feels very unsettled right now. Salaries at the lower levels remain extremely low, while new senior management compensation appears quite high. Many of the issues that challenged the Society years ago seem to be resurfacing. Morale is low, people feel unappreciated, and there is widespread concern about decisions being made without strong business judgment.

Pros

Been in nonprofit forever and it is always hard but this place is worth it. Good time off and great benefits. LOVE the people I work with and our volunteers. Been lots of change but we needed it. Highly recommend joining us. Respect the views of some who have said its not the best place as maybe it wasn't the right place for them. But I'm really glad I'm here and I'm not leaving.

Cons

Pay is never as good as the really big nonprofits or for profits, but I don't expect that to change. So if you need money first just maybe don't be in nonprofits.
