Pros

I wouldn't consider myself an "employee" I volunteer for the park service doing trail work. It's very rewarding. If you like spending time in the woods and helping this is a great place to do it.

Cons

I don't see any cons to doing this as a volunteer. I wish they would hire on a part-time basis, it would be a fun job.
