Pros

Pay is on the higher end of the pay scale when compared to other companies I have looked at. Most other companies are $5 or lower per hour. Decent Health Insurance

Cons

There are SO many Cons... 1. Training is horrible: from how the books are formatted to the Management Training Classes in Atlanta ! There is no follow through or support for new managers even though training staff said they would 2. The District Managers do nothing other than push Store Managers HARD to meet ALL sales goals - They exist only to push push push sales,,,thats it !! I was actually written up (PIP) for not meeting all sales goals last Period. (never been written up for anything my whole life) DM management style is to intimidate you into meeting goals. DMs have no optical experience...comet to think of it,,, neither does anyone else ! They allow a new sales assoc. to check in glasses without any optical experience and unable to use a lensometor. Anyone can measure for a prog or bifocal and not have any clue as how to do it. Management is run very poorly !

Pros

None that I can think of.

Cons

This place was such a disappointment. They foster a culture of no loyalty while smiling right at your face and it starts at the top. You can work as hard as you can and deliver amazing results for years and management will set you up for failure to cover their own butt. Dont trust a word they say. Trust me, keep on looking for a job because this place is not worth the effort of even printing your resume. Take a look at how diverse of a leadership team they have. They think that jim crow laws are still in effect because you have to go down 3 levels of management before you can even find the first colored person. If you want to feel like your appreciated for the work you do and your skin color doesnt matter, keep on looking for better opportunities.

Pros

More than normal paid time off. Including holidays vacation and sick time.

Cons

Upper managers care only for their numbers and not about the people who work for them. At one time this was a good company to work for but no more. They have become a place to avoid as they have become impersonal and not to be questioned. The regional and district managers have been replaced and bought in to the Culture of Blame that was so popular at Lenscrafters.
