      Pros

      You get to help people with their glasses. You learn more about the retail eyeglass industry. You can study to get your ABO & NCLE to become a licensed optician in that state.

      Cons

      Lack of pay and benefits. In some states it’s not enough to pay your rent. There’s a lack of respect from the employers especially management. Health insurance is a joke. You pay so much into your premiums and get little in return while struggling to make ends meet.

      You can look at your phone all day Don't have to clean Can sell glasses with no experience

      Cons

      If you are a good employee, you will be expected to do everyone's job. No breaks when you need one because it's to busy. Don't get sick because there are no other licensed opticians to come relieve you. Even when you have a serious illness they expect you to come to work.

      Pto and time Off is excellent! Benefits pretty good!

      Cons

      Burnout with payroll to sales budgets. District Managers have Lots of reign so if you have one that is unsupportive it’s hard. NVI has not Kept up with pay standards versus what They want Out Of managers and the Level of responsibility placed in them. Remainder of staff including opticians make commissions thus make more money than GM
