Pros

There are a lot of opportunities if you are motivated. For advancement, learning, trainings...etc.

Cons

They have a bank for all paid time off that you accumulate and mandatory holidays that take hours out of that bank. So for example, if you work outpatient at a clinic, you will lose 16 PTO hours if your clinic is closed for Thanksgiving and the day after. Noone is happy about this but upper management claims it's necessary to pay for our "benefits."

Pros

The patient-facing personnel (nurses, etc) are wonderful people who save the lives of sick children every day. The hospital is modern, growing rapidly -- especially in the area of Research -and is one of the top Pediatric hospitals in the nation. The opportunities in Research are good and IT Department staff is nice and helpful.

Cons

The other non-patient facing departments on the business side of things (mainly Planning, Resources and the Data Resource Center (DRC) ) are full of TOXIC, HATEFUL people who have worn out their welcome and should have been FIRED a long, long time ago.
