Pros

Easy commission, lots of room to learn and gain knowledge about sales and the insurance industry. Not a really hard service/product to sell

Cons

No real chances for advancement unless you want to open your own agency

Great Company if you know the right people

Pros

a great company in terms of compensation and autonomy. The company wants you to feel like your part of a family. There are wonderful benefits and if you are mobile there are opportunities.

Cons

There is almost no diversity (gender or race) above the director level. People get promoted often not based on talent but who they know. The leadership is not reflective to the membership base that it serves. Unfortunately if you are looking for a company that promotes diversity based on talent and not popularity, gender or skin color....Nationwide is not for you. You will find yourself frustrated and looking for another company to work for.
