Pros

Nationwide is a great place to work. It was a comfortable team environment. Large company with a lot of resources and benefits for employees.

Cons

They changed their minds on major decisions such as announcing closing a certain regional office then changing the closing location to a region that thought they were safe from the closing. I really liked working for them. Too bad the economy prompted a move to be more centralized thus, causing downsizing.

Pros

Nationwide is a well established company which offers excellent benefits including tution re-imbursement, 401K and medical. Their financial stability is a big plus factor.

Cons

At times Nationwide can be conservative and beauracratic. Geographically the majority of positions are in Columbus and Des Moines making willingeness to relocate important for advancement.
