      No company is perfect, but I believe Nationwide does try to better itself, despite it's setbacks

      Pros

      Nationwide does a great job making the work environment positive for all employees. Being different I actually feel appreciated working at Nationwide whereas if it weren't Nationwide I may feel out of place.

      Cons

      They consistently under pay me for the work and contributions that I provide to the company. It's very disappointing that time and time again they don't follow their salary guidelines, despite exceeding performance and meeting all their goals.

      Pros

      Good work life balance, the pay is great, vacation/ sick time is awesom.

      Cons

      Poor leadership, people don't know insurance at Nationwide, bad place to launch a career, there is no career development. Managers are bad a developing talent. This is where you go to collect a good paycheck and nothing more. You'll be stuck at Nationwide with no real skills!

      Reasonable work hours Lots of training in your area of discipline OK physical working conditions Great place if you are a politically adept individual

      Cons

      Low paying compare to other local companies Horrible benefits. Most expensive I have ever had with the least amount of coverage Thankless work environment in IT Lay off the older USA citizens and keep the foreign nationals coding. Shipping a lot of jobs overseas. Tons of useless training in the "warm and fuzzy" space; on "programs" soon to be forgotten.
