Pros

Location in columbus is good. Nationwide is active in community and is respected as a whole in columbus

Cons

Lack of direction and mismanagement of initiatives. The whole purchase of Provident was a mess from the start and only got worse

Pros

Compensation, financially sound, good culture compared to many large companies

Cons

Very political and stovepiped, do not manage talent strategically, career opps limited in downsizing. Downsizing is needed, but has been administered too arbitrarily (across the board cuts) because Management does not have the capability or the patience to look for the true waste in activities. There is plenty of waste, and most people know it.

Pros

I enjoyed the my coworkers and the chance to work at an organization that appeared to be changing for the better. However, my hopes were dashed over the 5 years I was there.

Cons

Management was quite inconsistent with what they said they wanted vs. what was rewarded. It became a game to guess what was actually desired in order to receive positive feedback or at least no negative feedback.
