Pros

Product and pitch Genuinely good entry talent looking for opportunity

Cons

The comments about trauma bonding are real. Why work for a company that cares so little for their employees? Unreal expectations. It’s not constant change for the better, it’s grasping at straws reactivity; inexperienced leaders led by egos and gut that they know better with no warning of moves and bad business fundamentals. All C-suite cut or quit in the past three years except founders. No stability. Any attempt to justify the strain on mental health for the trade of a promise of money is shortsighted and thus far has only resulted in broken promises and a revolving door of management.

Pros

Navan (fka TripActions) was a place that, when I first joined two years ago, had all of the promise and excitement of a tech company that was starting to figure it out, and this was reflected by the intelligence and confidence of the leadership at that time.

Cons

Since the rebrand, there has been a fundamental shift. The excitement that was once so widely felt vanished overnight, replaced instead with an overwhelming sense of emptiness and dread. The leadership is callous and arrogant, the day-to-day employees are at the mercy of constant, unexplained changes and petty politics, and whatever competent managers there were have been replaced by people who don't listen and are too afraid of losing their own jobs to help anyone else succeed. I'm sure there are those at Navan who will continue to find success, but the company has not made winning feel fun in a very, very long time. It makes sense why turnover stays alarmingly high. Come work here, but only if you enjoy being micromanaged and are looking to develop depression.

Pros

The friends you make. That's really about it. All I can think of.

Cons

My time here was extremely disappointing. The culture was toxic, and it was clear that promotions were often based on politics and not merit. Many of the people who got ahead seemed to be those who were most skilled at kissing up to the right people. The company's management was terrible, with very little communication or transparency about important issues. It was hard to get any guidance or support when needed, and it often felt like employees were left to fend for themselves. 3 DAYS A WEEK IN OFFICE WAS SO INCREDIBLY TOXIC. It's worth noting that this was particularly frustrating because the work itself can easily be done remotely. There was no reason for the company to force employees to come into the office, and it seemed like a clear disregard for our well-being. Finally, the company's products ARE faulty and unreliable. It was clear that corners had been cut in the engineering process, resulting in a subpar product that often fails to meet customers' needs. Overall, I would not recommend this company to anyone, and would caution others to steer clear of it.
