Pros

Not many. Free lunches. Trip to SF

Cons

If you're thinking about joining the TripActions/Navan, think twice! They use "start-up culture" to excuse the constant changes that leave reps confused and lost. The leadership doesn't care about you unless you're bringing in revenue with very little training and help, so expect finger-pointing and blame so they can cover for themselves. If you have a bad month and don't close any deals, they'll freeze you out fast. They only care about going public and will do anything to achieve this at their employee's expense. Management doesn't trust their employees and micromanages them by publicly critiquing their work each week. If you don't bring in your own meetings, you'll be criticized in front of your coworkers. Management doesn't listen to feedback and seems disconnected from what's actually happening in the company. They've even lied about quotas and refuse to take responsibility for the high turnover rate using "we are a start up". Surveys meant to be anonymous haven't led to any changes, and the situation seems to be getting worse. Everyone jokes that it's WeWork 2.0 which seems right. High turnover rates are the norm, and new hires are encouraged to submit fake 5-star reviews during onboarding. IC's are expected to take on multiple roles, such as generating leads, executing and managing deals, and launching accounts, with little collaboration between teams. This puts a lot of pressure on account executives who often feel unsupported. The company operates on a consumption model, meaning when customers experience issues which they will with how buggy the product is. Expect to have to deal with it which will it affect commission payouts because of the usage model.

Pros

-Competitive base pay for CS Dept. -Client-facing travel encouraged -Kind/fun peers

Cons

-50+ hr work weeks + weekends necessary to stay afloat -Lack of resources like tech support team result in lots of busy work -Inappropriate and unprofessional behavior, language, and ethics from upper leadership - Unsustainable working conditions resulting in a serious and onging retention problem. More people out the door = more work for those left behind - All eyes on IPO causing a frantic work life - Never-ending queue of issues for CS reps and their clients

Pros

-fantastic product, will win the space -the people in the Austin office are great to work with -generally speaking, you can find strong upward mobility if you have a proven track record

Cons

-pay is not competitive, especially for lower level roles but across the board -they are aggressively letting people go if they are not a 100%+ individual -there is an aura of fear or stress in the air about keeping your job -in the last two months they have fired a C-level, multiple VPs, directors, managers, and a large amount of individual contributors -they constantly bump up Account Executive quotas even if they weren't hit or were unattainable previously (for instance, they doubled quota this quarter even though the overwhelming majority of AEs did not hit previously)
