Pros

TripActions has been through the ringer the last year and has come out on top. The leadership team, the management team, and the company as a whole has shown INCREDIBLE humility and empathy for employees. Being a travel company through a pandemic is no easy thing, but I take pride in the way our leaders have handled the tough times and brought us to the place we are today. TripActions is an amazing company full of amazing go-getters that make even the most difficult days rewarding and encouraging. -- Camaraderie, access to the executive team, leadership/management is invested in career development, mentorship, working across departments/segments/etc

Cons

I can't speak to any cons

Pros

Culture, tech, office environment is incomparable. Dallas location is also a bit more diverse and less trendy than HQ. We are spoiled rotten with perks -Insurance is top-notch -Travel Benefit -Commuter Benefit -PTO/Sick above average -Culture/Environment/Teams are like little families TripActions is excellent; the idea behind the tech is great. I'm lucky to get to work for a startup that is making such huge strides in Travel.

Cons

Sometimes it's chaos Support: -Management plays favorites -Promotions based on who you know, not what you know -No accountability w/in support -Little stability/clarification; often you find information out from peers -Leads appear to play favorites, poor delegation -Inexperience and laziness leads to some TSS 1's getting overworked Company: -Despite a need, new roles/departments/processes are not scaling -Dallas office can feel sort of us vs. them (support vs. non-support) -CSM lack knowledge RE: App and Support functions, some lack travel knowledge TripActions is a startup, so growing pains are normal. But, the pains within support are becoming increasingly more apparent. VTO for TSS 1's while some other support departments need help. Management appears to have priorities elsewhere/not currently on scaling different support roles.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review, we appreciate your feedback. We are working through a leveling exercise and career pathing to ensure that employees have clarity on their current role + responsibilities, and opportunities to develop professionally. Cross functional training is definitely on our radar as well! If you have additional feedback or ideas to help up achieve these goals, please reach out to the People Team!

Pros

- Ilan, our CTO is great at what he does. Working under him has been a really good learning experience for me. - Interesting technical problems to solve, especially if you're into travel - The product is light years ahead of the competition, its great working at a company that's growing so quickly.

Cons

- As we grow rapidly, there are already people in the org that are happy to come to work and collect their paycheck, letting others pick up their slack. - Engineering is mostly led by the product team, with completely unrealistic deadlines. Common excuse is that "we're a startup", even though we are not anymore. - We used to move a lot quicker when most of our engineering team was in one office. The time difference with other offices slows us down sometimes. - As a few others mentioned, leadership is a bit inexperienced which is starting to show now that we are a midsized company. We're looking for a VP of Eng which should hopefully help here
