Pros

Neighborly has a relaxed work from home environment. Neighborly is good at providing training. Neighborly has a fairly modern cloud infrastructure in the AWS cloud.

Cons

Neighborly lacks vision and leadership. They are control by one engineer who dictates everything. An example would be launching a full IAC environment using Teraform only. This is not a practical approach with the whole team does not know Teraform.

Fantastic people and culture

Pros

The company has done a great job of curating a culture that truly reflects its values. The community of people here is truly incredible. Most everyone will make you feel right at home. The business model itself is recession-resilient and the company does very well financially. Work environment is extremely flexible, which is great when you have kids, elderly parents, or other responsibilities.

Cons

Silos (not the Magnolia kind). Homogenizing processes or getting buy-in is like pulling teeth because every department/brand does it their own way. There are several leaders who refuse to relocate while others have been forced to do so. Not a great look if you're going for consistency. You have equity in the company, which is a nice perk, but it's presented in a patronizing way to seemingly compensate for shortcomings in base salary or a heavy workload.
