Pros

Honestly the only good thing was remote work

Cons

Bad management, micro-management, bad company culture. I’m reading how they are “best place to work” but this can’t be within marketing team. You’re expecting to do bunch of stuff outside your scope and working directly with Neil was never a good experience. I got unexpected asks like “how much $$ would I cost to get Neil to 1million followers” and I had to copy other people’s quotes online and make them seem like Neil said it. No one ever questioned anything, turnover in my team was super high.

Uncertain Future

Pros

Intelligent co-workers who are passionate about their job. Competitive benefits and pay.

Cons

This is for NP Digital US. We've been through 4 rounds of layoffs now - there have been no actual changes proposed by leadership to reverse this course other than "show value to clients better". Needless to say, bonuses have been eliminated and raises (if you should receive one) barely match inflation. Perhaps most demoralizing is that anyone who can do basic math knows we are profitable. There are accounts with $600K+ yearly contracts staffed part-time by 2 or 3 people in total, where is all that revenue going? We are not hitting our goals, fine, what is your plan then beyond telling employees to do better? Any structural changes, high-level strategic shifts, product enhancements? Clearly what we have now is not working, or does "Own It" only apply to the rank and file? Do better.

Cons outweigh the pros

Pros

Lots of business growth in the last couple years. Benefits are good

Cons

Insert middle aged white male VP here. Seriously, though, I love seeing all of the middle aged white men that are golf pals with the President being hired for the C-suite and VP roles. Really inspiring. The success of the company was built on the backs of people that were steadily fired for nothing except they weren't part of the new management crowd that came in a couple years earlier. I still can't forget how those folks did their best to grow the company when it was nothing. Now of course we're experiencing and boasting incessantly about rapid growth, but let's not forget that we unnecessarily let people go to simply hire more less than a year later. The rest is typical agency life - never enough people to do the work needed, lots of overtime, and favoritism.
