Pros

The flexibility to work remote. Great HR team, the EVP is trying hard to make meaningful changes, but may be too late. Pay is good.

Cons

Becoming more consultancy-based, bringing in people that aren't vested in the company to make decisions, don't listen to their associates, TOXIC culture, managers allow and encourage bullying behavior, favoritism, HIGH turnover of talent, don't provide the tools you need to do your job, CEO and executive leadership don't care about the average associate, just their bonuses. No worklife balance. Avoid this place at all costs.

Pros

You get 30 percent store wide discount probably that would be only pros

Cons

More contractor than fulltime Full time associates are not preferred for decision opinion or technical skills they are there to keep head count. Lack of management at all levels. Your health benefits does not start for two months from start of employment. For your last payement you have to come in person to collect the payment and you will not get assisted. hR department is unreachable. If you cannot treat your employees well I don’t think so anyone will get great customer experience. People have called down on the floor because of work pressure. All it control is with contractor you will regret Management hr department is not capable of handling it operations. You will be frustrated working here and even afterwards when you will try to reach out them. They had law suit filed by employees for discrimination against their own employee and contractor. You have to clean the garbage code written by contractor and there are directors at infrastructure is very toxic and will fight for no reason. They have most expensive health insurance you will end up paying 700 high deductible plans for family. They don’t know difference between blue collared workers and those working at warehouse. They want to hire and retain people while they treat software engineers at such Low level. Every associate working here is frustrated it’s not just one person either they don’t have choice or they are not talented enough to get the job or they are in their transition from services to product based company.

Pros

Good discounts when 30/30 came around.

Cons

The sales team is set up for failure. Neiman Marcus Online would often have better deals than in the store and we were told not to tell our customers about it. There is a lot of pushing expensive things on customers. I heard many times from all levels of management, "Remind yourself- it's not your money!" I'm happy to sell what someone wants to buy, but pushing sales is not classy. And beyond that- the sales associates are hit with any returns that come in- even if those returns are outside the parameters of the return policy. Yep, so let's say I spend 4 hours helping a customer and she ends up purchasing about $12,000 worth of luxury clothes from me (which btw is ONLY $720 commission for me) and she comes back 6 months later to return every item.. maybe she's been a good customer in the past? maybe she causes a scene? Regardless of why the company decides to disregard their return policy, the original sales associate gets hit with the entirety of that return. So if it's the beginning of the pay period, I would immediately be in the negative... I can understand the company making specific exceptions for customers but not when that gets taken directly out of the sales associates paycheck. It is a brutal rollercoaster of monitoring how much time to balance investing in customers when they may just turn around and return it all anyways.
