      Pros

      Associates are empowered to make decisions. Sales associates get iPhones! You're surrounded by luxurious merchandise you can't find anywhere else! Great associate discounts!!

      Cons

      Working at NM use to be fun and exciting but with new management and a lot of great people leaving, things changed. Associates are micro-managed!!!! There's a lack of support. Associates are overworked. The commission rate sucks. There seems to be a lot of high turnover. It was hard to take any vacation time off. I sensed favoritism amongst senior management and some of the managers and sales associates. Overall, not an environment I want to work in.

      Great people and a good discount.

      Cons

      Long hours, hardly ever feel that you are appreciated. Some people at the VP, DMM go out of their way to make your life hell. Rarely felt appreciated.

      Pros

      The name Neiman Marcus immediately brings to mind Luxury. The brands and designers.... Popovers and Chicken Broth...Holiday Gift selections... Amazing pops of the luxury era gone bye.

      Cons

      you get an I-phone for "clientelling" but also so "Big Brother" can watch what you're doing... Management are like ghost figures in the store.. You never see them but they watch you on camera... REALLY??? No morning meetings, no touch base on how the store is doing.. Sale comes out on racks and tables like MACYS... Not at all luxury...
