Pros

... Honestly, I can't remember any pros except Summer Fridays where you work half the day.

Cons

- Indecisive Executive team, always reworking the strategy and finite details up until the last minute causing teams heavy overtime hours, and countless hours of wasted time and effort. - Lack of recognition - Lack of communication - Lack of benefits - Lack of clear and cohesive direction - Annual layoffs - High turnover - Low pay - Lack of upward mobility - Lots of condescension & entitled attitude.

Pros

Perks associated w/ working for a luxury retail company (i.e. brand perception, discount, physical environment, sample sales, etc). M-F work schedule. Promote from within culture for the most part.

Cons

Strenuous interview process only to be brought on-board to be completely appalled and alarmed at the lack of professionalism, amount of overbearing egos, and catty behavior taking place in a lot of the offices. Buying offices, marketing and creative departments in particular feel like an all girls college sorority. Be prepared for mental exhaustion and back stabbing most times. Most people look out for themselves and like to play the blame game. Unprofessional behavior runs rampant even at the directors level. Lack of diversity is also glaring. Heard inappropriate and borderline racial language on multiple occasions but didn't go to HR for fear of retaliation. Pay is substantially low for the Dallas market and for NM to be a luxury brand. With all the financial turmoil, bad press and layoffs I suspect the environment won't improve any time soon.
